About Us

Howarth’s Garage Ltd is a family run business established in 1984 as a partnership and then changed to a limited company in 2019.

Phil and his father Leslie first started as Cottage Cars located on Taylor Hall Lane, before moving to Old Bank Road, where we branched out from not only servicing and repairing cars but also undertook vehicle sales as well. We have been in our current premises on Huddersfield Road since 2000.

Phil Howarth took over the day to day running of the business when his parents decided to take a more relaxed role in the business and along with Phil, our qualified technicians have over 60 years experience in total.

We are keen to keep up to date with the latest vehicle technology frequently attending up to date training courses with Bosch and AutoIQ.

We have been part of the Bosch Car Service Network for many years.  All Bosch Car Service garages provide vehicle maintenance, repairs and diagnostics for all makes of vehicles. They guarantee a first class service at an affordable price.

The Bosch Car Service Network works to a Code of Practice. The Consumer Codes Approval Scheme, run by the Trading Standards Institute, has approved the Bosch Car Service Code of Practice. This further emphasises the commitment to customer care we feel is imperative to provide at all times.
